The Entrepreneurial Empowerment Project

The Entrepreneurial Empowerment Project, formerly known as Project Sew and Grow, aims to provide women with the necessary funds and knowledge for entrepreneurship. This serves our goal to ensure financial independence for women through capacity development and entrepreneurship.

Scheduled for the beginning of each year, this project seeks to empower women to achieve financial stability and self-sufficiency throughout the year by funding entrepreneurial pursuits, well structured creative business ideas, and infusing capital into existing struggling businesses for expansion.

Initially launched in 2021, Project Sew and Grow operated on a “pay-it-forward” model to ensure sustainability. The project began by sponsoring a beneficiary, Prisca Anwulika, to attend a fashion school where she enhanced her sewing and designing skills and improved her business. In 2022, she paid it forward by sponsoring another woman, who will continue the cycle of empowerment.

Looking ahead, the project aims to equip women to support themselves financially and make meaningful contributions to society.
