Rita Okolo is a dedicated legal practitioner with six years of experience in litigation and human rights law. Her unwavering passion for women’s rights and her commitment to seeing women educated and financially stable led her to establish the Urio Foundation in 2021. Rita’s dedication to this cause is further demonstrated by her pursuit of a master’s degree in Human Rights at Queen Mary University of London.
Under Rita’s leadership, the URIO Foundation focuses on the economic empowerment of women and girls in Africa, aiming to provide them with the tools and resources they need to achieve financial independence and stability. Rita envisions becoming a leading voice in the movement for women’s economic empowerment across the continent.
In her spare time, Rita enjoys immersing herself in the thrilling legal dramas of John Grisham’s novels and exploring new travel destinations.
